Pafuri – northern Kruger Park
loading...

Our picture of the day was taken by Elizabeth Hess, one of our more adventurous clients, who spent a few nights at the Wilderness Safaris Pafuri Camp recently, in the northern corner of the Kruger Park. Despite the elements conspiring to keep her away, halting all air traffic in the area with serious thunderstorms, Elizabeth endured many hours on the road and finally made it to Pafuri, including a stop in Phalaborwa en route. She was in awe of the unique Pafuri scenery, its huge baobab trees and thriving birdlife.
Pafuri Camp lies in the wildest and most remote part of the Kruger National Park and offers varied vegetation, great game viewing, the best birding in all of the Kruger, and is filled with folklore of the early explorers and ancient civilisations. It is well known for its fever tree forests, beautiful gorges and Crook’s Corner, where the Limpopo and Luvuvhu rivers and three countries, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mozambique, meet. So for a completely new and exciting safari in Kruger, try Pafuri next time.
